Since it’s opening in the spring of 2004, Chiane’s Gourmet Café and Coffee Bar has quickly become downtown Torrington’s favorite gathering spot. For early birds, Chiane’s offers fresh baked scones, muffins, and bagels each morning along with a variety of Organic Fair Trade coffees. There’s also a full lunch menu featuring gourmet salads and sandwiches, including creative daily specials. Chiane’s homemade desserts have quickly become local legend. All menu items are available for Takeout. Chiane’s offers a large selection of beverages made with organic and/or Fair trade coffee beans and organic and/or Fair Trade tea leaves. Iced or hot cappuccinos, lattes, mochas, cocoas, chai, tea, and coffee beverages available all day. Seasonal items include homemade soups made daily during the fall and winter months. Summertime means ice cream from The Big Dipper in Prospect, along with gelatos and Italian ices from Libby’s in New Haven. Three Oaks Chocolatier truffles and other chocolate treats available October – May. |
Chiane’s is proud to support local talent by featuring an Open Mic and Poetry Slam every Thursday from 8 –10pm, and offer live music every Friday, 8 – 10pm. All menu items are available for Take Out. Full Catering Menu, Gift Certificates, and Custom Gift Baskets available. Organic Fair Trade coffee beans sold by the pound, whole bean or custom ground.
